About Tarot

Tarot is a symbolic system with roots stretching back to 15th-century Europe, where it first appeared as a card game before evolving into a tool for reflection, insight, and divination. Over time, particularly from the 18th century onwards, tarot became associated with mysticism, esoteric philosophy, and psychological exploration.

Today, tarot is best understood as a language of symbols — one that speaks through image, archetype, and intuition. The 78-card deck is divided into the Major Arcana, which reflect life’s deeper archetypal journeys, and the Minor Arcana, which explore the patterns and experiences of everyday life. Together, they form a map of human experience — one that doesn’t dictate outcomes, but reveals meaning.

Rather than predicting fixed futures, tarot opens a dialogue with the present moment. It helps illuminate what is unfolding beneath the surface — emotionally, psychologically, and energetically — offering perspective, clarity, and a way to engage more consciously with your path.

My Approach to Tarot

My work with tarot is intuitive, relational, and psychologically informed. I don’t read cards as fixed definitions, but as living symbols that shift depending on the person, the moment, and the question being held.

Each reading is a conversation — one that unfolds between us, the cards, and the deeper patterns at play in your life. I pay close attention to imagery, feeling, and resonance, allowing space for what wants to emerge rather than forcing interpretation. This creates a reading that feels personal, grounded, and meaningful.

I often work with open questions rather than seeking yes/no answers, exploring themes such as emotional patterns, inner conflicts, relationships, and life transitions. The aim is not to tell you what to do, but to help you see more clearly — so you can make choices that feel aligned and true.

The Decks I Work With

I specialise in the work of artist and author Kim Krans, whose decks bring a unique depth, rawness, and poetic clarity to tarot and oracle reading. Her work is deeply rooted in archetype, nature, and the subconscious, making it a powerful companion for inner exploration.

  • The Wild Unknown Tarot — a minimalist, evocative deck that strips tarot back to its essence. Its imagery is both primal and precise, allowing for deeply intuitive readings that cut through noise and speak directly to the core of a situation.

  • The Spirit Animal Oracle — drawing on animal symbolism as messengers of instinct and wisdom, this deck connects us to the natural world and our own inner guidance.

  • The Archetypes Deck — a profound system of universal archetypes that opens a doorway into the psyche. This deck is less about prediction and more about deep reflection, shadow work, and self-understanding.

I work almost exclusively with these decks because of their symbolic richness and emotional honesty. They support the kind of work I offer — reflective, intuitive, and rooted in personal growth rather than surface-level answers.

If you’d like to explore her work further, you can visit Kim Krans’ website and immerse yourself in the world she has created.

What Tarot Offers

At its heart, tarot is not about certainty — it’s about awareness.

It can help you:

  • See patterns you may not yet have language for

  • Explore your inner world with honesty and compassion

  • Navigate uncertainty and change

  • Reconnect with your intuition and inner authority

  • Find meaning in moments that feel unclear or overwhelming

You don’t need prior knowledge or experience with tarot. You don’t even need a clear question. What matters is a willingness to be present, curious, and open to what arises.

Tarot meets you where you are — not to define you, but to reflect you.

And in that reflection, something shifts.
